We encourage you to learn as much as you can about King Alfred Academy! Info nights are a great opportunity to meet our headmaster, hear our vision and ask questions about the academy. Check out the event calendar for the next one!
Once you have decided to enroll your child(ren), apply by completing the Enrollment Package. Submit via email (info@kingalfred.ca), mail to King Alfred Academy, 1373 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo ON, N2J4G8, or bring in person.

King Alfred Academy holds the following expectations for parents/guardians and students:
The tuition structure for the 2020-2021 school year is as outlined in the following table. Please note that there will be a one-time $200 family application fee in addition to the rates listed.
King Alfred Academy will offer part time kindergarten (JK and SK) enrollment for interested families, which will consist of 3 days of school per week. In order to calculate family tuition, the number of children will be considered in terms of their Full Time Equivalent (FTE). A full time enrolled child is 1.0 FTE (5/5 days per week) and a part time child is 0.6 FTE (3/5 days per week).
Enrollment packages are due by April 30. Packages received after April 30 will be assessed an additional $50 late fee for each month past April 30 to a maximum of $200 for applications received after August 1.
Additionally, families that enroll before April 30 will receive a free copy of either The Case for Classical Education by Douglas Wilson or The While Horse King: The Life of Alfred the Great by Benjamin Merkle.
**UPDATE**
We wish to inform you of registration deadline changes for King Alfred Academy. Due to the ongoing pandemic, King Alfred Academy has decided to forgive the $50 late fee for May registration. Moving forward we will continue to monitor the needs of our families on a month to month basis. We hope this will be helpful to you. We are praying for you, and for your children.
We are also praying for our teachers. The purpose of the scheduled registration deadline of April 30 is to allow the board time to plan and hire teachers for the upcoming school year. If your family can commit to enrolling now, it would be greatly helpful to us if you can apply as soon as possible.
We are committed to bringing classical Christian education to as many families as possible, and we understand that the financial component is a very real concern to parents interested in private education and is one of the most common objections. Please consider that enrolling your children in private Christian Education is a step of faith. You are taking the step of actively obeying the commandment given in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 to teach the ways of the Lord to your children in all of life, understanding that the command encompasses school as well. We are told by our Lord Jesus to “seek first the kingdom of God and all these things shall be added to you.” (Matthew 6:33). So, make the informative years of your child(ren) a priority in the life of your family.
The Lord may give you a raise, he may call you to slightly change your lifestyle, or he may show you how to save in other certain aspects of your budget. But one thing is certain, in obeying the Lord’s command for your children you will be spending your money in a way that lays up your treasures in heaven. (Matthew 6:19-21)
We also understand that, for some families, it is a financial impossibility to send their child(ren) and it is our prayer that we can provide financial tuition assistance. Our desire is that through the generosity of the local church and men and women who understand the vision of King Alfred Academy, affordability will never be the reason a student cannot attend our school.
King Alfred Academy desires to provide tuition assistance to families who qualify according to the following parameters:
To begin the tuition assistance process or for further inquiries please contact tuitionassistance@kingalfred.ca.
**Please note that our tuition assistance program will remain confidential between applying family, headmaster and school board.
Our tuition assistance program is not possible without generous donors who see the value of Christian education. If you would like to give to our tuition assistance program, please click the give button. Thank you!
